Allure of Fembots

Fembot was made popular by the television series The Bionic Woman and is simply a female robot. Robotess is the oldest female-specific term from  same source as the where the term robot came from (1921.) Gynoid is anything that resembles the female form.

Why so hot?

The allure is similar to other mythical creatures like the mermaid whom throughout history is sexy, unavailable and lures men to their death (all while wearing a clam shell bra, btw) The fembot is no different, but is created by man for their enjoyment. She is designed to be the perfect woman. The allure comes from the fine line of total submissiveness and unfathomable power.

Research experts in technology and robotics have  predicted that sex with robots will become commonplace by 2025.

“Robotic sex partners will be commonplace, although the source of scorn and division, the way that critics today bemoan selfies as an indicator of all that’s wrong with the world”

Stowe Boyd lead researcher at GigaOm.

Even though, we are moving at lightening speed on the VR and Robot front with technology, there are some who say HELL to the NO on the sex front. The Campaign Against Sex is a non-for-profit that believes

"an organized approach against the development of sex robots is necessary in response the numerous articles and campaigns that now promote their development without critically examining their potentially detrimental effect on society."
