Ashley Graham's many accomplishments at the young age of 29 include Glamour’s Women of the Year Award, being the first plus size (16) model to grace the covers of Sports Illustrated, and international Instagram stardom and now being the muse for the latest Barbie.
“All we did was take 360 degree photos of my body to send to them, and afterward we fleshed out some details. The color of my hair, a few details on my face like beauty marks and full eyebrows. “I asked for cellulite but obviously plastic and cellulite don’t go hand in hand,” she said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
“[Graham] challenges the conversation around body norms, and we think that’s a really important message for girls,” Lisa McKnight, senior vice president for Mattel’s Barbie brand, told USA Today when asked about the latest Barbie.
