You know all the "Hallmark holiday" bashing that goes on around Valentines Day? For the first time I'm not going to take part in the bashing because, truthfully, I like Valentines Day. When I cut through the clutter of overpriced, impersonal dates and generic cards, I see that it's the one day a year when you're expected to do nothing but spend time with your significant other. Rather than boycotting the holiday, my boyfriend and I are taking the opportunity to spoil each other. Not with gifts, but with time and attention. Fine, I wouldn't turn down the gorgeous, barely-there Maison Close Jardin Imperial set, but only because I can enjoy it with my admiring audience of one.
