Unbound's Officially Late Summer To Do List

If you are anything like us, you spend the winter months dreaming about the days when you can look at the sight of your bare skin without being blinded (or wondering if you have scurvy)but then summer rolls around and you end up working more than you expected and sweating so much that you’re begging for November. Not this year! In honor of the upcoming Film The To Do list, we made a To Do list of our own for this summer. With this list, if you can find a way to do just one of these things a week it’ll ensure that you don’t feel like you wasted away the best three months of the year.

Experience this

Despite summer presenting the perfect opportunity for longer happy hours in beer gardens and more chips and guac than any one person should eat, It’s so easy to get wrapped up in all things superficial. If you’re burnt out on mimosas and soaking up the sun, take a night off and catch one of these two upcoming meteor showers. Perfect excuse for a solo night and soul searching, or for snuggling up to someone new.

July 27, 28 - Delta Aquarids Meteor Shower.
August 11, 12 - Perseids Meteor Shower.
**The Stars are supposed to be best for both of the meteor showers after midnight.

See This

Though most of America still seems to be obsessed with superhero blockbusters, if you can't find it in yourself the see the third Superman movie that's been made in the last ten years, check out these movies featuring awesome female leads:

Girl Most Likely (July 19): This is a must see if you found Bridesmaids even remotely funny. Played by one of the leading ladies of comedy, Imogene (Kristen Wiig) tackles the tough transition from being a somebody to becoming a nobody in this promising laugh-so-you-don’t-cry movie.

The To Do List (July 26): A sexual coming of age story chock full of trapper-keepers, secondhand embarrassment and a couple of sightings of Connie Britton's gorgeous locks, The To Do List is the perfect movie for a lazy Saturday when you want to take a trip back in time to all of the embarrassing high school sexual faux pas you wish you could forget.

Lovelace (August 8): Amanda Seyfried is veering away from the sweetness of les miserables and returning to her more sexual and serious roots (we miss you Lilly Kane!) with this biopic on the tumultuous and sometimes dark story of Linda Lovelace. Use this chance to get up on your pornographic history, and root for the main character as she defies the odds and takes control of her life after being abused by her coercive husband and a corrupt porn industry.

Austenland (September 27): Whether or not you’re a Jane Austen fan, or have a (not so) secret obsession with the Kiera Knightly version of Pride and Prejudice, Austenland is the perfect lighthearted rom-com to take your mind off of the 90 degree weather. Kick back with some junior mints and enjoy the sexy accents.

Drink This

Summer offers more socially acceptable excuses to drink than any other season. Freshen up your collection of spirits with some summer ingredients and try your hand and one of these summer-inspired cocktails. (No one will judge you if you have all three.)

Grapefruit Gin and Tonic

3 oz (89ml) London Dry Gin
3 oz (89ml) grapefruit juice
1/2 oz (15ml) lime juice
2 dashes grapefruit or lemon bitters

2 sprigs cilantro as garnish

Fill a shaker two thirds of the way with large ice cubes. Add the gin, grapefruit juice, lime juice, bitters and cilantro. Shake until the outside of the shaker becomes frosted. Be on the lookout for

Lingerie fashion week: The second ever NYC Lingerie week will be taking place the first weekend in august this year. To get your fix for all things lacy, spandex, or otherwise unmentionable, check out thelingerielesbian.com in the meantime.

Kimyeaby: North West will undoubtedly begin her media appearances soon. No judgement for anyone who keeps an eye on the tabloids for this one.

Summer Guilty Pleasures

Okay, these things probably shouldn’t be on a To Do list, but you know you’re going to do them anyway so might as well get the satisfaction of crossing them off:

-Plan a Netflix marathon on a rainy day (might we suggest Buffy, Game of Thrones, Firefly, or Luther.)
-Do a froyo or (and!?) Ice Cream Crawl
-Sleep naked whenever possible
-Make your own sexual satisfaction to do list and make. it. happen.
-Run through a sprinkler (clothing optional)
-Watch ALL OF Veronica Mars- the movie is due out next summer!  (Another list!)
-Brunch with a group of friends and bottomless margaritas every time you get the chance
-Put your bra in the freezer when the air conditioning breaks
-And finally, treat yourself to the Unbound Box subscription that you’ve been lusting for.
